Position: Key Account Manager (KAM) - Opthalmology

As a KAM, you'll take charge of engaging and advocating for a pharmaceutical product within diverse segments of the Opthalmology domain. Your role involves advising relevant parties to facilitate smooth reimbursement processes within regional contractual agreements. Additionally, you'll engage in negotiations with pharmacies to ensure widespread adoption of the product across hospitals and practices within your designated territory.

Your territory encompasses South Germany - with a major focos on the Northern parts of Bayern - BaWu and South Hessen

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conveying product details and scientific insights to specialized audiences, while devising and executing visit strategies aligned with marketing and sales objectives in the region.
  • Planning and executing localized initiatives, such as regional training sessions tailored to diverse stakeholders.
  • Achieving predefined targets in sales and turnover, with accountability for the allocated S&I budget.
  • Conducting regular analyses using available tools to identify deviations from targets and implementing corrective actions accordingly.
  • Maintaining comprehensive records of customer interactions and continuously updating customer databases using CRM platforms like Veeva.
  • Leveraging digital communication platforms (e.g., TEAMS, VEEVA Engage, ZOOM, HCP mail) to conduct targeted customer outreach campaigns and reinforce face-to-face discussions.
  • Actively monitoring the market landscape and relaying pertinent information to internal stakeholders.
  • Participating in national and regional conferences, while supporting regional thought leaders and medical authorities in alignment with Sales Management. Coordinating and executing regional or cross-departmental projects in collaboration with Sales Management.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completion of scientific education or studies, along with certification as a pharmaceutical sales representative (m/f/d) in accordance with §75 AMG.
  • Several years of experience in specialized sales roles, preferably within consultative prescription product environments, demonstrating a track record of success.
  • Exceptional communication skills and adeptness in utilizing various communication channels to engage diverse target audiences.
  • Capability to independently plan, organize, execute, and evaluate customer events.
  • Ability to provide comprehensive support to healthcare providers across medical, health policy, and social law domains.
  • Readiness to proactively engage in project teams and collaborate with stakeholders across functions, coupled with strong teamwork abilities.
  • Analytical thinking prowess and the capacity to work autonomously.
  • Willingness to undertake travel responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken German and English.
